Eureka Tower

Eureka Tower | Southbank | Melbourne

Eureka Tower is the tallest building in Melbourne, standing some 300 metres tall. Located in Southbank, the building is named after the Eureka Stockade, a significant time in Victoria’s history. The building incorporates a gold crown, symbolising the gold rush period, and has a red stripe to represent the blood spilt during the stockade. The observation deck of the Eureka Tower is called Skydeck, and is the highest public vantage point in Australia. There are 30 viewfinders on the Skydeck, so visitors can explore Melbourne from this fabulous location. Skydeck also has The Edge – a glass cube that suspends you 300 metres above the ground. As you set foot into this glass cube, you will find yourself projected three metres out from Eureka Tower, giving you a clear view across the city.
